What would you say would be the must have undergraduate math courses for somone planning to do graduate studies in either operatios research or data mining?

IMO, you will have to have a good knowledge of college algebra and pre-calculus. Since you might deal with variables and constant changes, and even time rates, you will need calculus and algebra.

good undergraduate business schools in West coast?

Good undergraduate business school (particularly International business). I am applying to UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, USF, USC, and UCSC. Do you guys suggest any other schools (private / public) in the west coast?
